Having gone through the schedule, and worked out probable starters, batting average, RBI and more, I've decided that with the current roster, the Nats will still be crap.

Went to the game against the Mets and I got to take in Nats Park for the first time.

Thumbs up: Food choices, meeting Manny Acta again and shaking his hand, kosher dogs, $5 grandstands seats, a helmet full of Gifford's ice cream, the red loft, the use of the John Adams theme in a highlight package before the game, the musical choices of Wil Nieves and Emilion Bonifacio, the out of town scoreboard and the information on the main scoreboard

Thumbs down: Clint, Jerome, Shairon Martis, the Nats baserunning, Clint, Jerome, sweet Caroline (I love the song but not for us), Clint, Jerome, the Mets bullpen, Clint Jerome, Gus Frerotte starting for the Vikings, Clint Jerome, Ryan Langerhans at bat with the bases loads, did I mention Clint and Jerome?

The big question about the schedule is this: How many tickets to the Red Sox series will I need to buy during the STH presale in order to sell them on StubHub and recover enough money to cover the entire cost of my season ticket plan? And should I get greedy and throw parking into the mix, maybe even being able to turn a profit?

No I went to the opener, but didn't get to walk around the park and take it all in and enjoy it. Last night I got there early and did exactly that.

I'm going to bet the Red Sox aren't offered on the 20-gamers.

And George, your old boss let you off more often to torture yourself in D.C.

Red Sox should be offered to the 20-gamers. Typical pattern is to have a single seat in the stadium divvied up over 81 games by selling it to a 41-game plan, a 20-game plan A and a 20-game plan B. Usually for a three-game series that breaks down into one game for each of the three plans sharing the seat, although not always. So at least one of the 20-game plans should get a Red Sox game even if both of them don't. And even if a 20-game plan doesn't include one of the Red Sox games, 20-gamers will have the chance to buy single-game tix to those games in the STH presale before Red Sox Nation gets its shot. A definite opportunity for those of entrepreneurial bent.

Ah this is true, but as you well know the days of having three days off during the week have been gone for quite awhile.
Too bad the Nats couldn't get one more against the Muckin Fets. I would've love the Nats to be the key to their collapse again.
