Proof The Jee-SUS Thing Is Accurate

Just look at today. Crystal clear blue skies. Warm, not hot. Pretty much a perfect day, no? No other way to explain it.

I'm in the big city, came up early to pick up tix (thanks, you know who!) and get some work done before meeting up with a large crew for a bite before the game (don't want to risk stadium lines for food).

Less than eight hours. Jacked beyond belief here.

It IS Tuesday yet!

(disclaimer - this is tongue-in-cheek, not meant to be sacreligious or offensive. I also don't want to end up in Hell. I've had five years of that already and I don't want to go back)

Funny how in the minors they were calling him "Rain Main" becuase every start seemed to bring rain. :)

I don't think you're being sacrilegious but I do think you're missing the point of the nickname.

It doesn't have anything to do with Mr. Christ or some kind of heavenly (and therefore weather-related) connection - rather it's the word you utter when you see Stras throw a baseball.

Yeah, I know that. That's what Nyj-so said after watching him pitch.

But it's still Jesus. Or Jee-SUS.

Main thing is I don't want to take chances with the Big Guy and have him take it out on the Nats Nation. You know? Just trying to cover all the bases.

First uttered by some unknown pitching coach when Strasburg was throwing a bullpen with Colome nearby. "Jesus, come over here and see how you're SUPPOSED to pitch."
