Today was one of those can't watch/can't listen days. Went to a retirement party for a friend/former co-worker. Caught up with a bunch of my old newspaper buddies. For his present, we gave the honoree two tix to the first two Nats-Red Sox games (he's a Red Sox fan, by the way, but I love him anyway). We had a blast.
I turned on the radio as Hanrahan was finishing up his strikeout of Markakis.
If I don't view live, watch on TV or listen on the radio, the Nats seem to do pretty well.

I was at the stadium. It was by far the most fun game this year. Getting to watch Dunn hit two mostor home runs, one a Grand Slam was worth the price of admission alone. I must say that Orioles fans are far less obnoxious than Phillies or Mets fans.
It was almost enough to make me forget that the Nats just concluded a 2-9 homestand.
Mike: I stayed away, too, and changed my luck. I went to the P-Nats game. They won 4-1.
By the way, should we be worried that Chris Marrero is still in A ball?
O's and Nats fans do share something of a bond (following the Leasts of the Easts). I don't find them to be too bad a group. Eager to see how I'm received up there in June.
I'd say no since he was hurt last year, though I would have liked to have seen him in AA anyway. How did he look?
Heck, it was just about a year ago that I saw Detwiler in A. I was impressed but didn't think he'd be where he is now. Stuff happens in a hurry.
So I should be blaming you not Acta?
Seems that way!
I have fired myself.
What's your strategy for today?
TV is on. My bad.
Did you maybe turn it off right after Sheff's "homer"?
Sigh.
I guess not.
Actually, I did leave the room. Just came back in. Guess they didn't reverse the call.
A little late to the party, but....
I also was at the park Sunday. What a day. What an atmosphere.
I can't remember having a better time at the park this year. Even got a free beer from a friend I haven't seen in a couple years.
Grand slam + free beer + Nats win = damn good day.
And yes, the O's fans I ran into were quite pleasant. Nice change.
